Our Very Very Very First Anniversary {The Final} [Part Three]

Read Part One here and Part Two here

Our Anniversary (June 3rd) was a Sunday. We woke up, had a cuddle, enjoyed some breakfast, had another cuddle (or two), and went for a little walk in the out-of-doors. Then we repeated that, only with lunch. I think there was some meandering about Old Town Bisbee, and probably another cuddle. Maaaybe a snuggle. All a fancy and over-worded way of saying we didn't do a lot. And it was absolutely divine.

HOWever, being the adventurers that we are, we did get dressed up and go out for a tasty Mexican dinner in downtown Bisbee.

Ever-over-dressed, trying to capture the moment. Mostly failing.

Please note the dirty clothes on the floor. We're classy, let-me-tell-ya.

Senor Hubband con his Latina lover.

That's what I see.

 More Outtakes

 And heeeeeey, finally some progress!

And the favorite!

Out of focus... Or artistic?

Okay, just a little more awkward.

Could we have failed any more? Probably.

I hope you found those to be as hilarious as we did!

Dinner was superb, it was so nice to reflect on our first year as Hubband and Wifey. OH how we've grown, with still so much more time to grow!

The next morning was our final day of vacation.

With a sniffle, we checked out of our little temporary-home, but not too unhappily, as we drove straight to Tombstone!

IF you haven't been to Tombstone, you should probably go right now. It's one of my favorite historical spots. The Wild Wild West!

We had tons of fun exploring, so we didn't get a lot of pictures, so enjoy what we did stop to take!

Totally looking at a sling shot. Always a boy!

After this, we hopped in the car and went home. Overall, it was a wonderful anniversary! And we're so thankful to have found something we could do this year while saving for a house!

Do you have any cheap vacation ideas you love?

Dear Monsoon Season, Really?! Is this it? A few dust storms and a tiny piddle of rain?  We. Are not amused.

Dear Sister, I’m so, so happy about your new house. I hope these next few months bring joy and everything you’ve been waiting for!

Dear Sister’s Old House, SELL dang you!

Dear amor, hubband, panda, that guy, I really do love you

Dear Wanderlust, Go away already. I just bought a house! I'm supposed to be feeling grounded and settled, or-something-like-that..

Dear Readers, Just you wait, there's more coming today... We have something really awesome in store for you!

Sorry so short today, we're seem to be lacking on randomness and whimsy!

Boo us.

BUT Happy Friday Friends!!

Our Very Very First Anniversary [Part Two]

If you're new to LLF, you'll probably want to check out part one. Or not. Maybe you're a rebel. Or a ninja! Oooh!

Alright, where did I leave off? OH, that's right, we'd just fought off the monstrous rodents of unusual size. Wait, no, that's not it...

We'd just left the riparian area on this road.

Then we went through this tunnel

And saw more of Bisbee!

On our way back to the Bed and Breakfast, where we cleaned up and clambered on over to the town-part-thing of Bisbee.

On the way, doing what any bored lady with a camera does.

We stopped at the Lavender Pit first, an old open-pit copper mine.

It wasn't my first open-pit mine, but I was blown away nonetheless. As was hubband!

After standing in awe for awhile, we drove down the street to Old Town Bisbee

I don't really know if that's the actual name, but if not, it should be. It's genius.

After walking around for a bit, we stopped at Old Bisbee Brewing Company.

They Brew the beer at their Brewery and then it travels underground to the bar (?) where we drank it! Pretty cool, huh? Well. LET-me-tell-ya, this beer was GOOD.

Following, we traveled about town, enjoying the little shops and galleries before heading back to our abode-away-from-abode.

And we made dinner! One of the biggest perks of the B & B? A [relatively] full kitchen!

Vodka Sauce Cooking, Pasta Boiling, and Garlic Searing

My very important sous chef.

Rigatoni pasta with Vodka sauce baked with sausage and mozzarella, garlic mashed potatoes, and roasted carrots.

So, basically, carbs.

That dinner + some wine basically ended our evening.

And with this, I leave you hanging. Next up, what we did on the [actual] night of our anniversary!

To Whom it May Concern,

Those [Friday] Letters with Ashley!

The Woman’s:

Dear Walter (House), the more we work on you, the messier you get. Not cool man.

Dear couches, I have four of you now. THREE OF YOU MUST GO THIS WEEKEND. *Crosses Fingers* *and toes* *and legs*

Dear Garage Sale, You’re my first EVAAAARR. Like totally. But seriously, I’m nervous. What if no one comes?! What if no one buys anything?! What if we have four couches forever?!

Dear Ikea, I think I have an addiction. I keep wanting to go back to you, but this isn’t a good idea, as we’re we-just-bought-a-house-broke. Do they have meetings for this..? Or..?

Dear CFLs, I can already see in the meter-reads, that you’re lowering our power consumption and therefore bill. Whoop whoop!

Dear Huzzband, You’re the bomb-diggity. Thanks for everything you do.

The Man’s:

Dear Wife, I love you soooo much! I love your hair, and your eyes, and your smile, and your meals, and your hugs!

Dear Sticky Notes, You make remembering things so much better! I can easily jot down a note or a phrase that later reminds me: "Oh yeah! I need to call my dentist." Thanks for being there for me!

Even a couple in a mess, think they're super blessed.

Our Very First Anniversary [Part One]

Hey! Remember when it was our anniversary?! We do too! And here, my friends, brought to you weeks later, is how we celebrated that special weekend.

We left Friday afternoon, groceries in stow, directions in hand, and headed to little Bisbee, Arizona, it's not Paris, but it's a super-fun little [former] mining town, and we really had a great time AND [because we all love run-on sentences] thanks to Groupon, the trip totally fit into our hey-we're-about-to-buy-a-house budget.

We stayed at the Gardens at Mile High Ranch B+B, and we absolutely would recommend it to friends, family, and even strangers! It was quaint, relaxing, and extraordinarily pleasant.

Ready to go!

This is his impression of how I sit in the car. It's pretty accurate actually.

Our first night, we got in, grabbed some dinner and opened our complimentary bottle of wine.

The next morning, we shared a totally delicious breakfast (Hubband makes the best breakfast burritos) and ran off to the San Pedro Riparian Area, for a hike nature walk.

We weren't really sure what to expect, but what we found was nothing short of awesomesauce. The reserve is right smack-dab in the middle of the desert, a surprise oasis of beautiful green.

Does this tree look big to you?

 Because it's huge

It looks like the Savanna! You know.. Since I've been to the Savanna and all.

That goofy face... And this was his best one!

 Some Outtakes

Trees, trees, and more trees!

Back to the desert!
Back to the desert...

 ...Where it's hot
Do you see anything in there?
Because there's definitely something there...

Yeap, that's a rattlesnake! It was TOTALLY rattling before we got the video too. Yikes!
That's it for part one, I won't turn this into that time when your Aunt Irma invited you over to see her travel slides, and let-me-just-show-you-a-picture-of-one-more-rock.

Have any fun trips lately? Or you know. In the past few weeks?
